This December, we have devised a jam-packed series of 12 fun and festive fundraising events running throughout the month - welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas! They have all been meticulously planned so that you can pick and choose in the knowledge that participation can be enjoyed safely, many of them from the comfort of your own home.

Read on for all the details below and then click on the links for the events that most interest you. While some of the events are taking place on specific dates, fun activities such as enjoying a Christmas cocktail or a curry evening with friends could be done at any time - and, indeed, more than once!

12 Days of Christmas: what's on

Giving Tuesday: give back this Giving Tuesday and show your support for your local hospice as we ensure local patients and families continue to receive the specialist care they need.

Festive competition: consider organising a festive competition in your village or community - it could, for example, be a bake off, Christ wreath off or a Santa scarecrow competition.

Charity shop challenge: challenge your friends and family to find the best item possible for £3 online at the Katharine House eBay shop or charity shops (when they open again post lockdown).

Festive jumper day: don your festive jumper on 11 December and get into the festive spirit.

Santa (virtual) Fun Run: three virtual challenges to choose from and while we’re suggesting you run on 13 December, it needn’t necessarily be that day.

Lights of Love: come together on 15 December to watch a live streaming of the popular annual service with hospice staff, volunteers, family and friends to remember someone special cared for by the Katharine House team.

RBC tractor run: this popular annual event is still planned to go ahead on 18 December; government restrictions permitting.

Christmas cocktails: raise a cocktail glass for Katharine House with friends and family within your own household or virtually with others.

Christmas concert: join us as we celebrate the vibrant local music scene in a live-streamed concert on 22 December.

Christmas balloon race: the ever-popular virtual balloon race will be launched from Santa’s village on Christmas Day - the perfect gift for everyone to enjoy over the following week.

Christmas curry: use up your Christmas turkey and other leftovers in a curry evening to share with friends and family.

New Year Quiz: an evening of live online quizzing on 30 December - the perfect way to look forward to a brighter future in 2021.

We wish you all a happy festive period and look forward to welcoming you to our fundraising events in December.
