Join us for 45 minutes of festive music savouring the musical delights of the local community in support of Katharine House.

You can watch live from your home.

We want to say a huge thank you to all of the artists who have been involved, for sharing their time and wonderful music with us so that we can continue to support patients and families affected by life-limiting illness this Christmas.

Scroll down to find out more about who's playing at the concert.

How much does it cost?

There's no ticket price, but all we ask is that you donate the cost of what you would usually pay to see your favourite local artists, using the donate buttons below.

Local families are facing their last Christmas with loved ones with a life-limiting illness. By donating to Katharine House, you can help them receive compassionate, individualised care and support so they can make the most of the time they have left together.

Our dedicated team of doctors, nurses and support staff desperately want to make every moment matter for people in our community, helping them continue living life after loss, acknowledging difficult times, and remembering happy times too. We hope you can donate a gift, whatever you can afford, to help families living with a life-limiting illness this winter season.

Please can you make a gift today to help raise the £65,000 we need to provide care over the festive period?

Thank you.

The line up

Dolly Mavies

You may remember local musician Dolly Mavies did a live-stream concert for us at the start of lockdown, so we thought it only fitting to welcome her back for Christmas, and with her very own Christmas song in tow, Dreaming in White! BBC Radio 2’s Whispering Bob Harris (MBE) ‘Loves what she is doing!’ and Tom Robinson BBC Radio 6 Music has coined her ‘Breathtakingly atmospheric’. Likened to artists such as Joni Mitchell, Florence and the Machine and Fleetwood Mac, Dolly’s ethereal tones and poetic musical storytelling are enchanting to hear live.

Genevieve Miles

The 'sunny indie queen' (BBC Introducing), 21-year-old Genevieve is lighting up her hometown of Birmingham with her innovative indie pop. Genevieve has become a 'staple of the indie scene' (Words for Music), gaining support from BBC Introducing. It’s hard not to fall in love with her sparkling, yet candid, down-to-earth vibe, that defines both her music and live show, along with her band.

Alex & Jacques Duo

A fresh and upbeat guitar duo with an extensive set from the 50s to the present day, including music from the Rolling Stones, George Ezra, Oasis and Lorde, Alex & Jacques have entertained crowds across the UK and venues that include Virgin, 02 Academies, festivals and weddings.

Sarah Derrick

Sarah is a singer-songwriter from Carterton, Oxfordshire, who has been gigging and releasing music for the last couple of years. Her songwriting is a mixture of pop and soul and combines percussive guitar playing, frank lyricism and melodies that have a habit of replaying in your head. Her first two singles 'Honey' and 'One Like Me' are both available on all streaming platforms.

This evening, enjoy hearing her sing Bing Crosby's 'I'll Be Home for Christmas' - one of her absolute favourites, which this year feels particularly powerful as so many people won't be able to be with their loved ones at Christmas.

Joely is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter based in Oxford and Bath. Taking influence from soul, indie pop and country you can expect to hear rich soulful vocals over dreamy chords and catchy, punchy songs. Over the last two years she has released two EPs and a few singles, backed by BBC Introducing and she has also played her own headline release show at the O2 Academy Oxford.

Danny Mellin

Indie singer/songwriter Danny Mellin hails from West Oxfordshire and started writing music at a young age, releasing his first song 'Without You' at just 14 years old. Delivered with a strong vocal, Danny's songs range from acoustic ballads to melodic indie pop anthems full of youthful energy. During 2020 he has released three new singles, which are available to stream on Spotify, iTunes and Amazon as well as other streaming services, but like many musicians, he can't wait to be able to get out gigging again and to play these new tracks live.

Megzz is an RnB singer-songwriter whose passion for writing and music drives her to produce honest, introspective and empowering songs that many can relate to.

Stuart Layzell

Stuart is a singer/songwriting trucking ukulele phenomenon who says he's made more bad decisions than a chicken crossing the road! Feel free to add Stuart Layzell-Music on facebook, where you can catch him performing originals and covers. You can also find his music on Spotify, YouTube, iTunes, and all other digital platforms.

BushFieldSmith hail from the Banbury area, and have been together for 10 years plus. They play a mixture of their own songs and a few covers. 'Rooftops' was released on two of their albums, in different versions, and a new Katharine House Xmas version has been produced especially for 2020. They say: 'We hope you enjoy the music and video. Seasons greetings to one and all.'
