Here's a list of all the gardens that are opening this summer to raise money for Katharine House. Please click on the links for each garden to find out more. Our successful open gardens fundraising days have been running for a number of years and we are very grateful to the many gardeners and supporters who have made them such a success and raised a significant sum for Katharine House. This spring and summer, please consider opening your garden to raise money and make every moment matter for local families living with a life-limiting illness. We are here to support and help guide you through the process. Our target for 2020 is to raise sufficient funds to cover the cost of running the hospice for one day - £13,000. Could you help us achieve our goal? An individual or several village gardens considering opening for Katharine House can pick any date between March and September 2020 (Sat or Sun is best). Additional features like plant sales and refreshments can also help to enhance your event. We offer: support and guidance publicity via our website, Facebook and other social media channels a participant pack with information about preparing to open a garden for Katharine House – this includes help with risk assessment and checklists resources to help make the event successful, such as collecting tins/buckets, stickers, balloons, disposable plastic Katharine House banners, local signage/posters mentors: gardeners who have opened for us in the past have kindly offered to mentor new garden openings, if required.
