Katharine House Hospice provides specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting conditions across North Oxfordshire, South Northamptonshire, and South Warwickshire.

Over the last 30 years, we have been privileged to care for so many people in our local community, and we are working tirelessly to ensure we can continue to provide this to everyone who needs us in the future.

We are now entering an exciting time of transformation as we seek to partner with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) and work together to maintain and improve services for adults affected by life-limiting illnesses – ensuring that the right care is in place at the right time for those who need it. It is an opportunity for us to drive positive change and to protect the clinical services that we provide.

By aligning what we need to achieve into a direct partnership with the NHS, we are establishing the strongest possible platform for end-of-life care for the local community. It also ensures that we are making the best use of our funds by directing them to where they are needed most - meeting the needs of our community. We are confident that formalities will be concluded so that the partnership to come into effect from Spring 2021.

The changes we have committed to make mean that we are also seeking to transform our leadership by appointing a new Chief Executive to help us successfully navigate the next stage of our exciting journey.

We are looking for an inspiring, creative, empowering and people focused leader with a proven senior leadership track record of success in an organisation with a strong fundraising or commercial focus. Our next Chief Executive will take the lead in establishing the new fundraising Charity, help build the new culture and drive our strategy forward with passion and enthusiasm.

With demonstrable experience of leading change and transforming organisational culture, you will embrace the vision of Katharine House Hospice and empower our dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

With strong commercial acumen and financial awareness, you will bring a commitment to increasing income generated solely for the support of the Hospice. You will also provide the strategic leadership, energy and vision to enable the Charity to achieve challenging income generation targets through the development of comprehensive financial and fundraising plans.

To succeed you will need to be a competent networker and credible ambassador, with experience of being able to raise the profile of an organisation with supporters and stakeholders at all levels. As an enthusiastic and polished communicator, you will have the ability to influence others and generate significant support to fund the continuation of the range of services this hospice delivers to patients and their families.

Katharine House Hospice is an equal opportunities employer, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We celebrate diversity and applications are actively encouraged from individuals from diverse backgrounds.
