Our day hospice is a lifeline to those who are being cared for at home. It is somewhere patients can talk to others facing similar problems or ask questions and seek advice from the clinical staff, our social worker or the hospice chaplain. We also offer an art class, music therapy and massage therapies.

The day hospice service also gives carers and family members the chance to have a much-needed break knowing their loved one is in the safe hands of our nursing team.

One patient, Pat, called the service a life saver. He said; “whether it was the calm, professional care from the doctors and nursing staff, the art classes, foot massages, excellent lunches or simply sitting in the day room with other people facing similar situations, I was given the time and space to get back on track at a time of physical and mental duress.”
