As the Management Accountant, your main responsibilities will include: 

  • The production of timely and accurate financial plans and reports for a variety of stakeholders. They will ensure information produced is relevant, insightful and aids decision making and will play a key role in driving forward improvements to planning and reporting
  • Providing ongoing training, support and tools to build financial skills and knowledge across the hospice as well as the line management of a trainee.
  • Role modelling a business partnership approach and will build effective working relationships with colleagues across the hospice.

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will have experience of producing timely, accurate and insightful financial information for use by budget holders, senior managers and trustees and developing budgets that are clearly aligned to the organisational strategy. We also require that you have a genuine interest in and commitment to the services of Katharine House Hospice as well as the ability to build rapport and develop effective working relationships at all levels across the organisation.
