The proposed job plan is for 4 programmed activities per week (to include Fridays) plus an equal share in the on call rota which attracts an additional 0.5 PA plus on-call supplement.

This is an opportunity to join the established medical team consisting of two Consultants, one Associate Specialist, and one Speciality Doctor a Registrar and a trainee on rotation from the North Oxfordshire GP training scheme. The post-holder will be principally based on the 10-bedded inpatient unit but will also be expected to provide some cover to the day hospice and community CNS services.

Previous experience working in palliative medicine is desirable but not essential for a candidate with sufficient general medical experience. Pay will be pro-rata on the Speciality Doctor (or Associate Specialist) salary scale. The hospice will support continuing professional development and the opportunity to progress and develop within the role over the longer term.
