Ellacotts prepares for the Santa Dash! Staff from Banbury-based accountancy firm Ellacotts got in to the Christmas spirit and donned Santa suits this week to help promote the annual Santa Dash for Katharine House Hospice. On Sunday 26 November they'll be joining hundreds of other teams and individuals from local companies, sports teams and families to take part in the Santa Dash and Christmas Trail at Banbury's People's Park. The 3km or 1.5km run or 1km walk is one of Katharine House's biggest annual fundraising events, raising up to £20,000 for the hospice. The event is a great day out for the whole family, and this year there's the added excitement of the Christmas Trail - a treasure hunt for children. Everyone taking part will receive their very own Santa suit, and can join the procession of Santas in to the town centre for the Christmas lights switch on. Chris Higgins, Communications Officer at Katharine House, said; "This Christmas Day and Boxing Day it will cost us £20,000 to keep our hospice services running and support patients and their families facing life-limiting illnesses. This year's Santa Dash is going to be a great day out, and there will be something for all the family. With it being on the same afternoon as the Christmas lights switch on, the whole of Banbury will be in the Christmas spirit!" People take part in the Santa Dash for a number of reasons; some run in memory of a relative, others run for fun or for fitness. Whatever your reason for joining the fun, you're helping to raise money for people in our community facing life-limiting illnesses. You can join the Santa Dash and Christmas Trail here.
