This week, Chris, our Communications Officer, and Moira from Fundraising visited the TSB Bank national conference at the NEC Brimingham as part of their Pride of Britain Awards and Local Pride showcase - an event highlighting the work TSB does with local charities across the country.

We were delighted to be selected as one of four small charities to attend and talk to over 750 TSB staff about what we do here at Katharine House, and how Gareth Nichols and his team at TSB Banbury have been helping support our work.

 

Those of you who receive our newsletter will have seen the events they've had over the last 18 months to raise money for us; from baking and caking to cricketing and beard shaving, and of course staying up all night to marshal over 600 walkers through the streets of Banbury at the Midnight Walk in June.

At the conference, we asked delegates to tell us what hospice care means to them, and we were amazed by the amount of support and good will we received from TSB staff from every corner of the country. Here's what they said about the work local hospices do in communities...
