For almost 30 years, Katharine House has been proud to be the hospice of the community, set up by, and for the community. Throughout that time, our supporters have been the very lifeblood of what we do, helping to raise £3million each year to provide much-needed and much-valued end-of-life care and support for local people and their families.

Because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, delivering our services, providing urgent additional support and working in different ways has been tremendously challenging.

  • We have continued to provide high quality end-of-life care to local people.
  • Our nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants and supporting staff have provided truly outstanding levels of compassionate care.

However, the pandemic has had a devastating impact on our fundraising. With the closure of our shops for the majority of the year, and fundraising events postponed, cancelled or moved to virtual activities, our income has fallen dramatically. While we have still received hugely generous and much-appreciated donations from many kind supporters during this challenging time, we continue to have a significant income shortfall this year of over £420,000.

We can't do it without you - please donate today
