During the recent months, we have had a flurry of fundraisers all deciding to shave their heads in aid of Katharine House!

“Hello, my name is Theo Tustain, I am 6 years old, I decided to shave my hair off to raise money for Katharine House Hospice because this place is close to our hearts.”

Theo Braves the Shave

Inspired by his Grandad and Uncle who had recently shaved their head's in support of Katharine House, 6 year old Theo decided to follow in their footsteps and brave the shave himself, raising an impressive £250 in the process! Theo’s great grandfather Jim was cared for by Katharine House six years ago and his grandmother Teresa said her father and all the family were treated with great respect.

Lisa Braves the Shave

Adderbury local Lisa Smith decided to brave the shave in pride of place on the Adderbury Green, and raised a whopping £1330 for Katharine House. Lisa wanted to support Katharine House as we have been here to support a number of her close friends over the years. With our shops forced to close during lockdown and many fundraising events postponed or cancelled, Lisa wanted to vital funds for the hospice. You can read more about Lisa's story over at Banbury FM here.

Teresa Braves the Shave

Teresa Grzesiak of DHL Banbury, braved the shave to help raise over £370 to support Katharine House and help make every moment matter for our patients and families through these difficult times. You can read more about Teresa's challenge in the Banbury Guardian here.

We want to say a huge thank you to all our supporters for braving the shave in support of Katharine House and organising these fundraisers during lockdown!
