‘I would recommend any business to support Katharine House. We’ve grown closer as a team, it’s been great for personal development and there’s huge satisfaction from helping others and bringing people closer together in our community!’

Gareth Nichols, Manager, TSB Banbury

Are you a local business looking to partner with a friendly local charity to help our community?

Strengthen your team by taking part in one of our group events like the Midnight Walk or Santa Fun Run. Learn new skills by volunteering as a company in one of our shops or at the hospice. Help us fund our care by giving a donation, or help cover the costs of our fundraising activities by sponsoring a leaflet, our newsletter or a whole event.

There really are endless ways you can help us and the benefits are great for your staff too. Let their creativity and enthusiasm flow by challenging them to come up with fun ways to raise vital funds for your local hospice.

The benefits to your business are tangible too. You will benefit from the increased publicity and  visibility in your community and we will ensure your support is acknowledged on our website, throughout social media and in our shops, putting you in touch with customers in your marketplace. Your involvement and productive partnership with our caring and well-loved local charity will demonstrate how seriously your organisation takes social responsibility in your community.

How you can help:

  • Choose us as your Charity of the Year
  • Help us fundraise
  • Volunteer
  • Sponsor
  • Donate

TSB believe it’s important to serve local people because it helps fuel local economies and bring communities together. When the bank opened a branch in Banbury they were asked to choose a local Charity of the Year, one that shares the bank’s passion for helping communities, rather than a national charity like many other businesses.

For the second year running they have chosen to support Katharine House, and we’re delighted. Not only because they’ll keep raising money to help us keep our services running, but because we know they’ll organise so many great events and continue to be so involved with the work we do. From helping marshal at the Midnight Walk, to auctioning porcelain pigs painted by patients in our art room, Gareth Nichols and the TSB team have been so enthusiastic and done it all with a huge smile – we’re glad to have them on board for another year!

Now busy planning their events for the second year of the partnership, the team are hoping to organise a Lands End to Katharine House vintage motorcycle run next summer in addition to the annual charity cricket match, and no doubt there will be more than one TSB Bake Off Challenge as the year goes on. There is, though, one event which will definitely not be making a return; we asked Gareth if he’d be crafting a mighty beard again ready to shave it off in aid of Katharine House. His response? Never again!
