Stow Cottage arboretum and garden is situated in the village of Churchill located 2.5 miles south west of Chipping Norton off the B4450. The arboretum and garden cover approximately 15 acres. The arboretum was begun in 2009 and has been extensively developed every year since, while the garden has been developed since 1995. There are around 200 different oaks, 40 different sorbus and 25 different limes as well as many magnolias, dogwoods, walnuts, birches and liquidambars; in all around 500 different trees. The arboretum has cut paths all around for easy walking, albeit not always even.

Stow Cottage is surrounded by the garden with some of these trees and large deep borders with many rare shrubs as well as roses and daphnes. There are extensive views towards Stow-on-the-Wold and beyond.

Opening time: 1-6pm.

Entry fee: by donation.

Parking: use postcode OX7 6NP and parking will be signposted from William Smith Close.

Accessibility: not suitable for wheelchairs due to uneven ground and gravel paths.

Dogs: on leash.

Refreshments: not available, but The Chequers pub in the village will be open.
