About the course

Whether you’re a dog handler, trainer, walker, boarder, rescuer or a dog owner who wants to be prepared to help your beloved pooch in an emergency, this half-day Dog First Aid course is for you.

The 4-hour training will cover the basics of dog first aid, and equip you to provide the right assistance for your pooch in an emergency.

Practising on a dummy doggy, you’ll learn how to give doggy CPR and other important techniques.

Here at Katharine House, we recognise the part that dogs play in the family and the benefit that having the company of a canine can have for people, especially through difficult times. We frequently have four-legged friends visiting loved ones at the hospice, to visit patients staying with us, and as Pets as Therapy dogs as part of our Living Well Services and Health Walks.
