Details of the gardens opening for Katharine House

Catsum House, Horseshoe Lane

Formal cottage garden with shrubs and bedding plants as well as vegetable garden.

Accessibility: the vegetable plot will be difficult to access in a wheelchair due to narrow paths.

Sandys House, Bull Hill

Spring bulbs, perennials and shrubs create a colourful mix in this informal cottage-style garden to the rear of the former Sandys Arms pub. Plants for sale.

Accessibility: partial wheelchair access is available down the driveway at the side, but there are steps to the main lawn area.

Rose Cottage, East End

A surprisingly large cottage garden with an old pigsty, orchard, hen run, several greenhouses, many shrubs and lots of pots and roses. The rarely seen National Watering Can Collection will also be on display.

Accessibility: hazards include uneven ground and unpaved paths. There are steps and no wheelchair access.

Yew Tree Cottage, Mill End

A garden on different levels with long-established wisteria, box, flowerbeds, pond and fountain.

Accessibility: steps and narrow paths make wheelchair access difficult although parts of the garden can be viewed from the paved entrance area.

The Manor, Spelsbury Road

Large garden surrounding a 17th-century manor house next to the church with yew and box hedging. Simple planting with extensive unspoilt views over the Evenlode valley.

Accessibility: wheelchair accessible, if the grass is not too wet. Some gravel but not too much.

Stonefields, Church Road

A large 'parkland' garden with conifers and shrubs, interwoven with plants and flowers. Wonderful views over miles of beautiful countryside.

Accessibility: gravel paths and drive but wheelchair accessible.

Oldborough House, West End

A contemporary cottage garden with beautiful views over Chadlington and beyond. Integrated garden rooms tucked away from the main lawn area with year-round interest.

Accessibility: winding narrow gravelled paths could be a problem for wheelchairs, however the lawn area is accessible.
