Experience free falling through the clouds from 10,000 with a sky dive!

tandem skydive is the easiest and most popular of all skydives. It requires only 30 minutes of training before you then jump strapped to your instructor! The British Parachute Association (BPA) qualified tandem instructor does all of the hard work for you, allowing you to enjoy the exhilarating feeling of flying through the clouds from over 10,000 feet at up to 120 mph! It's a truly unforgettable experience.

With lots of parachute centres across the UK you're sure to find a date and place to suit you. Please be aware when booking that skydives are weather dependant and you are not guaranteed to jump on the day you book, so don’t go booking for a skydive when you’re on a holiday in Scotland, it might not be able to go ahead on the day you have booked.

"Just do it! I can't say loudly enough just how fantastic and exhilarating the whole experience was. I'd do it again in a heartbeat - not only for me, but for the hospice too. The skydiving team were so supportive and the moment when I sat on the edge of the plane and looked at the clouds before jumping was extraordinary." Helen Fletcher, our Head of Inpatient Services, who skydived to raise money for the hospice in 2019.

How to book and the costs

The event is organised by Skyline Events. To choose the location for your skydive challenge and to pick a date, visit the Skyline tandem skydive booking page. The nearest location to Katharine House is in Brackley and at that location you can choose to book on any day of the week except for Mondays.

When signing up to a charity place with Skyline, we will need to agree to payment for your booking. To do this:

On signing up, you will be agreeing to:

  • Raise a minimum of £400 sponsorship (in addition to the £70 deposit) to cover the cost of the jump and to ensure a £200 donation to Katharine House.
  • Raise and submit 50% of this at least two months prior to your jump date. If this amount has not been raised by this date, we will not be able to authorise your jump to go ahead.
  • Adhere to the event organiser's Terms and Conditions, available on their website.
  • Adhere to our Challenge Event Terms and Conditions.
