We have started a health walk leaving from the hospice each Friday morning.  We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join this new team as walk leaders and/or to help behind the scenes.  The walks will be up to 1 hour long and open to carers, clients in our bereavement service and others from the hospice community.

Walk Leaders

Walk Leaders work in pairs to make sure that a walk is safe, welcoming and friendly.  You'll check that everyone is registered before setting off, lead the way or act as a back marker and deal with anything unexpected that happens during the walk.  You can enjoy a cuppa at the hospice after the walk and a chance to chat with participants and report any concerns to our staff team. You'll need to have a reasonable level of fitness, be able to work independently and be happy to get along with a wide range of people.  You can find out more by downloading the role profile.

To find out more about this role please contact Sarah Mills on 01295 816 477 or [email protected] or register to attend one of our coffee & information events.
