We hope that we've got everything covered here on this FAQs page. But, if not, please get in touch via the contact details at the foot of the page. We're here to help.

What is Midnight Walk Reimagined?

Midnight Walk Reimagined is a new take on our annual sponsored 6- or 10-mile walk around Banbury. Only this year, it’s over to you to decide where you would like to do your walk, as long as you do it between 10 September and midnight on 19 September. Choose which walk length you’d like to do and who you’d like to do it with. You can walk whenever, however, wherever and with whoever you wish.

Where can I do my Midnight Walk Reimagined?

It's completely up to you where you walk! Lap your garden or local park, take in new sights or revisit somewhere special. You might like to join one of our guided walks - more information to follow, but in the meantime if you're interested in knowing more, please contact us to register your interest using the details at the foot of the page.

Whether you walk on your own, with your household or with your four-legged friends, it’s your walk, your way. Please be sure to stay up to date with government advice regarding social distancing and coronavirus.

How do I get started?

Please register with us on our Midnight Walk Reimagined page to let us know you’re taking part. This means that we can provide you with everything you need to plan your walk and fundraise to help people with life-limiting illness within our community.

How can I order T-shirts for my walk?

You can buy T-shirts from our Memory Walk Reimagined page either when you register or nearer the time. They cost £5.50 each plus postage and packing.

How long can my Midnight Walk be?

While we’re suggesting 6 or 10 miles for your walk, if you want to take on more, then who are we to stop you? Whatever you decide, please be sure to stay safe and stay up to date with government guidelines on social distancing and plan your walk accordingly.

Can you help me with ideas for raising sponsorship money?

Yes we can! Download our fundraising pack, which is filled with ideas for how you can raise money - and have a good time too.

Will I still get a medal?

We will be sending out medals to everyone who has signed up to walk and raises over £45!

Can children join the walk?

Yes – walkers of all ages can take part. Please make sure that you set a reasonable walking target for children. We’ll also have some fun activities for children to get involved with while taking on the challenge. Keep an eye on our Facebook Event Page for more details.

Can my dog join the walk?

Of course! The more the merrier. In fact, maybe your dog would like to do the fundraising?! It is Midnight Walk Reimagined after all.  Just remember to ensure your dog is fit for the challenge (check with your vet if necessary), has access to water during the walk and is kept on a lead when instructed to do so.  Don't forget your dog remains your responsibility during the walk.

How can I pay in my fundraising?

Once you have completed your walk and gathered in all of your sponsorship, you can pay in your donations using any of the methods below.

Raising money through GivePenny

With a GivePenny page everything's already done - all your sponsorship money automatically comes to us. Gift Aid is collected and your sponsors are thanked, so you don't have to do anything!

Similarly, if you have been using other fundraising platforms, your sponsorship money will automatically be sent to us.

Donate online by debit card

Please use our Midnight Walk Reimagined donation page.

Cash donations and cheques

With any cash you have collected, simply pay your donations into your bank account and do one of two things …

Pay by credit or debit card over the phone. Call us on 01295 816484.

Pay by cheque. Make it payable to Katharine House Hospice and then send it to the following address.

What shall I do with my sponsorship form?

If you have used one of our sponsorship forms, we can claim gift aid from people who have ticked to say that they are UK taxpayers. We can claim back 25p on every £1 they donate! So if you have raised £200 from donations that are all eligible for Gift Aid, that means you really raised £250.

It's important that we can see who the taxpayers are to enable us to claim the gift aid. So can you please ensure that you return your sponsorship form to us when you send us the money you've raised. Even if you have paid us electronically, we need to see the form. You can either scan it and email to [email protected] or pop it in the post to the above address.

Thank you for everything you do for Katharine House Hospice.

If you’ve got a question that we haven’t answered here, we’d be happy to help. Please contact us by email [email protected] or give us a call on 01295 816484.
