We are asking a commitment of 1.5 hours volunteering a week (including admin time) to maintain regular contact with individuals and carers at home who are facing the challenge of social isolation. You will be providing companionship and a listening ear via telephone calls. You will be matched to individuals who have life limiting conditions to reach out and build a rapport with them and enable social contact. You will try to support individuals to re-engage with a range of interests and activities from home with the possible use of technology.

You will need to log all contacts as well as maintain regular contact with other volunteers involved with the project and the Hospice Companion Co-ordinator.
