Ward Clerks

Ward Clerks are based in our inpatient unit where they offer a welcome to visitors and administrative support to staff. This role includes contact with patients and families so Ward Clerks need to be sensitive and friendly as well as highly organised in dealing with messages and administrative tasks.

We are currently looking for volunteers to fill the following vacancies:

Every other Wednesday: 1 - 5.30pm (from July 2018)

Every other Tuesday: 8.30am - 1pm (from September 2018)

Every other Friday: 8.30am - 1pm (from September 2018)

Every Monday: 1 - 5.30pm (from October 2018)

Hospitality Volunteers

We're looking for volunteers to serve teas, coffees and cakes on our inpatient unit.  You'll need to be happy to handle a trolley and to stop for a chat with patients and visitors.  As part of our catering team you may also help serve up meals and make sure everything gets cleared up afterwards.  You'll need to be friendly and sensitive to the needs of patients and visitors and to enjoy working as part of a team.  For further details please download the role description.

Daily, 10am - 2pm or 2.30 - 6.30pm (with some flexibility)

Activity Volunteers

Activity volunteers bring something they enjoy to share with small groups of patients in our day hospice.  We'd be particularly interested in hearing from anyone who could do some simple gardening on a table top or in our raised beds.  We supply (or reimburse you for) all the equipment and resources you need.
