Our weekly health walks are held in collaboration with South Northants and Cherwell District Council and everyone who has an affiliation with the hospice is welcome.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join an organised walk around the beautiful countryside that surrounds Katharine House. Each weekly walk not only provides the perfect opportunity to improve your activity levels and general wellbeing, but also offers you the chance to make new friends, encourage each other and find a supportive network of like-minded people.

Each walk will be led by a friendly, specially trained volunteer who will be on hand to provide encouragement and support and make sure no one gets left behind.

Where are the walks held?

Each walk starts and finishes at Katharine House Hospice.

When do they happen?

Fridays, 10-11am, although the length of time may vary.

Who can walk?

The walks are open to families, carers, patients, supporters, and volunteers - generally, anyone who has an affiliation with our hospice. Please wear loose comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear.

COVID-19: If you have a high temperature, are feeling unwell, have shortness of breath, or have a new persistent cough, or have lost your sense of taste and smell then please do not attend until you are feeling better, in line with government guidelines.

How do I join?

There’s no need to book, just turn up although it may be advisable to contact the hospice beforehand on 01295 811866 to make sure it’s going ahead. For more information please contact [email protected].

How much do the walks cost?

They are free of charge but if you feel that you can donate to our work here at Katharine House, we would be grateful.
