Welcome to our new-look website! Following six months of research and development, we are proud to unveil Katharine House Hospice website’s fresh design and feel.

Our website was first built in 2016 and since then the needs of the hospice and our supporters have developed a great deal, so we thought it was about time we injected fresh energy into our window to the world.

The new site is based on research into how our audiences use the website:

• What are your favourite pages?
• What sort of information are you looking for?
• What’s the easiest way for you get to that information?

We listened to feedback and have adapted the site to suit your needs. We’ve also taken into consideration the many different audiences that use the website. So, whether you’re a:

• patient or family member finding out what support we can provide,
• healthcare professional wanting to refer a patient to Katharine House,
• potential volunteer wanting to find out about your options to support us,
• a fundraiser who would like to take part in one of our events,
• or someone looking for other information ...

... we hope that you’ll quickly and easily navigate your way around our new website to find whatever you are looking for.

The new website has also been developed to be, first and foremost, mobile friendly as more than 55% of you now visit the site on a mobile device.

What’s new on the homepage?

• Not one but two carousels: one to keep you up to date with how the hospice can support you, and the other to show you what fundraising events are on the horizon.
• Infographics highlighting what the hospice does for the community.
• Quick links to the EPiC Resource Centre to provide information and support on all subjects surrounding palliative care.
• Donate panel to help you support us!
• Patient and family stories to illustrate the work that we do here at Katharine House and in the community.
• Ideas for ways that you can support us, from purchasing a leaf to celebrate a loved one’s life on our Celebration Tree, to how to join our lottery or become a corporate supporter.
