Could you be the voice of Katharine House?

We are looking for volunteers with excellent communication and presentation skills who are also enthusiastic, friendly and approachable. Is this you? If so, then our exciting new Community Ambassador role working alongside our Community Engagement team within the local community could be ideal, talking about the work we do and reaching out to and supporting individuals, groups and organisations who raise money for Katharine House. This could include:

• attending cheque presentations
• giving talks and supporting local events explaining how we make every moment matter for the people we care for, and conveying our gratitude for their support
• helping us raise awareness of our flagship events, such as the Moonlight Walk
• identifying and developing additional awareness-raising opportunities.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

About you

If you enjoy being out and about in the community and presenting to varied groups of people, this is a wonderful opportunity to support us and make a difference. We recognise how busy you may be and reassure you that this role provides great flexibility, allowing you to select the activities that appeal to you and making the most of your skills and experience.

You may even have your own personal Katharine House story. If you would like to share this, we would love to support you to do so.

Interviews

Interviews will be arranged for a date and time to suit you. We will ask you to prepare and present a 5-minute PowerPoint presentation on a topic of your choice that you are passionate about.

Ideally, you will have your own transport to enable you to fulfil this community role.

Successful applicants will be given full training through a two-part induction.
