The Accumulator Challenge is back this October! But we're asking 20 teams to sign up now.

Four months, a £50 stake and a competitive team challenge to raise as much as possible for Katharine House … all while having lots of fun, of course!

  • Do you have what it takes to compete with local businesses, schools, colleges and community groups to become the Ultimate Accumulator?
  • From an initial £50 investment, how much can you raise in four months?

Calling all budding entrepreneurs

We are challenging your team to grow £50 into as much money as you can between 16 October 2023 and 16 February 2024 to see if you could be crowned the Ultimate Accumulator or win the prize of the Ultimate Innovator with the most innovative idea.

What is the Accumulator Challenge?

The Accumulator Challenge is a local initiative that will see businesses, community groups and educational settings competing against each other to raise as much as possible for Katharine House. We will give your team a £50 seed-fund and four months to find ways of raising as much as you can. You can be as creative as you dare to be, as long as you keep it safe and legal!

Why take part?

Getting your company, school, college or community group involved with the Accumulator Challenge is a fantastic way to engage colleagues, students and friends and inject a little fun into the workplace, classroom or local community space.

We will be there to support you along the way and your dedicated contact from Katharine House will be on hand to help you with your fundraising ideas, however you decide to complete the challenge. This is an ideal opportunity to:

  • encourage teamwork
  • develop creativity
  • boost morale
  • engage with your local community for a much-loved local cause!

One team that knows how it’s done is Kineton High School, who have taken part in the Accumulator Challenge since it started back in 2014. The school has raised an incredible £13,800 over this time and they also won numerous awards, including the Record Breakers Award in 2017–18.

Mrs Purnell who has supported the students throughout the challenges said: "The best thing about the Accumulator Challenge is the whole school coming together and getting involved. The students learnt things from teamwork, product design, finances, marketing, plus an awareness of Katharine House and the amazing work they do."

Our Accumulator Challenge Awards will take place on 7 March 2024 where we will celebrate the success of all the teams that take part. We hope to see you there!
