Your main focus is to welcome visitors to our Inpatient unit and sit with patients to provide companionship. You will also answer the phone and record messages, maintaining confidentiality of our patients at all times.

You will have excellent personable communication skills and a friendly manner, and be comfortable working on a busy ward. We ask that you are sensitive to the needs of the visitors and staff and will ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Previous experience in nursing or the care sector is ideal but not essential. We'll give you all the training you need.

We have vacancies for the following regular shifts which can be on a weekly rotation or fortnightly, depending on your availability:

  • Alternate Monday mornings 8.30am-1pm
  • Alternate Wednesday afternoons 1pm-5.30pm
  • Alternate Saturday afternoons 1-5pm
  • Sunday afternoons 1-5pm

We always welcome applicants who could be our Reserve Ward Receptionists: short notice flexibility to cover shifts where required both during the week and at weekends

For more information, please see the role profile below. This role is subject to a DBs check and you will be required to wear a face mask for the whole shift.
