Education is a fundamental part of what we do.

It allows us to continually improve the quality of care in our hospice and the wider community. It helps us develop our services and meet the code of professional standards, revalidation and care certificate standards.

We work with colleagues across the county through the Oxfordshire Palliative Care Education Group (OPEG) and with national hospice and palliative care networks to raise awareness of the work we do and to build skills in the area.

We offer a range of educational opportunities including short courses, placements and visits for doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, care assistants and students. We also run training sessions for our staff and volunteers.

Funding Opportunities – External practitioners working with people at the end of life in Oxfordshire may be eligible for funding for our courses. For details and an application form, please email ssc@ouh.nhs.uk
