At Katharine House we believe the best partnerships are formed when we work closely with corporate supporters over a number of years and both organisations gain greater understanding and deeper links between individuals from the partnership. We fundamentally believe a partnership is a two-way process and a long-term commitment.

As such, we try to work closely with our partner organisations to help them understand the breadth and depth of what Katharine House does, and how we work. For example, we can:

  • give presentations
  • organise tours of the hospice and gardens (within current healthcare guidance and restrictions)
  • provide information
  • organise meet and greets with frontline staff and/or video content from our team
  • organise meetings with Trustees, Directors and our Senior Leadership Team to discuss higher level details about Katharine House
  • provide an awards scheme for employees, customers and suppliers who have gone the extra mile to help raise funds.

What makes a successful business relationship?

Our most successful and loyal corporate partners have embraced working with us and have engaged with us on a number of levels, including:

  • sponsoring activities and events
  • submitting teams to our fundraising events
  • providing materials and/or services free of charge
  • providing pro bono support and training from employees
  • adopting us as charity of the year and raising vital funds
  • promoting support of the hospice to their employees, customers and suppliers leveraging additional support
  • adopting payroll giving and lottery for employees
  • developing thought leadership programmes
  • enabling senior staff to join our Trustee board
  • recruiting volunteers to help at our events
  • providing access to their facilities for meetings.

How we work together

When we first meet with a corporate supporter, we explore what you are planning, what target level you have set yourself, and what level of involvement you are able to give.

Due to the depth of involvement we give to a partnership, we have a minimum support level for our partnerships programme. The value of a partnership to Katharine House is set at a minimum donation, which we can discuss with you.

"I would recommend any business to support Katharine House. We’ve grown closer as a team, it’s been great for personal development and there’s huge satisfaction from helping others and bringing people closer together in our community!" Gareth Nichols, Manager, TSB Banbury
