At Katharine House we believe the best partnerships are formed when we work closely with corporate supporters over a number of years and both organisations gain greater understanding and deeper links between individuals from the partnership. We fundamentally believe a partnership is a two-way process and a long-term commitment.

As such, we try to work closely with our partner organisations to help them understand the breadth and depth of what Katharine House does, and how we work. Just as important as sharing what we do, is finding out about the company and understanding what they do, what they are trying to achieve and their challenges so that we can make a positive impact along that journey.  

What makes a successful business relationship?

Our most successful and loyal corporate partners have embraced working with us and have engaged with us on a number of levels, including:

• sponsoring activities and events 
• entering teams to our fundraising events 
• providing materials and/or services free of charge 
• providing pro bono support and training from employees 
• promoting support of the hospice to employees, customers and suppliers, leveraging additional support 
• adopting payroll giving and lottery for employees 
• enabling senior staff to join our Trustee board 
• recruiting volunteers to help at our events 
• providing access to facilities for meetings.

Zurich have supported Katharine House Hospice for a number of years through their charity challenges in the spring and at Christmas where they have sourced all sorts of useful things for our patients and families, including new crockery, garden furniture and Christmas trees. We have also been the beneficiary of their grant-giving arm.
